This is my first painting with my Wacom (took almost 2 hrs) and I think it turned out allright

Anyways, I'm stumped on the background, any suggestions?

First of all get rid of the black. Work on your skin tones they look gray an not very attractive. The shading takes away from the body definition. Smooth out the body. As for background ummm theres not really anything the pic is saying or trying to show. Maybe do like a stripclub full of old men with dollar bills.

I really don't understand why you want to draw a girl pointing her ass at you. It simply looks like a cheap porn shot.

I have an idea. How about drawing a more flattering pose.

Why wouldn't you at least try and portray some level of beauty in your work instead of attempting to paint raw porn?

Seriously, what is the point of doing something like this? Do you get off on painting women bending over or something? To me, it serves no artistic purpose...

Hey GPoodle, how's it hanging over at BFP lately(yes, I don't read team emails ^_^ )? Anyway, work on your skin tones a lot, and try not to pick such unusual camera angles and poses. Do easier stuff first, even if you are pretty decent at the figures, that will let you focus on valus and colors.

sorry, but i do not like paintings with such poses. it is possible to make nice good pictures with nudity, if you make up a good pose and have a sense of composition, but that just looks cheap. a cheap pornpic.
i would choose way different pictures for training. way different pictures.

Alright, a few constructive hints here...

First, her cheeks look like they're melted together.
Her face is not done at all, and you've managed to make her labia look like some rotten exotic fruit.

I don't mind erotic art at all, but you're not executing it well.
Most people on this forum will not admit to looking at porn of any kind, but you DO have a market for it.
To access that market, you will need to work on all the traditional aspects of painting/illustration however, like everyone else here, in order to produce anything worthwhile looking at. Be it teddy bears, fantasy or porn.

Btw, it would be wise of you to consider what you are posting where.
In the future, until you get really good at it, maybe you should go for the more suggestive (less explicit) part of erotic art, if you want to showcase it here for constructive help.

it's obviously not an overpaint, look at the shapes... it may be a porn topic, it may be an eyeballed porn pic, but it's no overpaint.

GPoodle - yah, been here for...ages :] Since before BFP was!

Dr. Bang - I know GPoodle, we both worked on the Quake3 mod "Bid For Power: DragonballZ" which has since dropped the DBZ stuff for legal reasons. Although I may not find the subject of this painting pleasant(being one of the only known dour conservative artists in existence), but GPoodle is an artist and is trying to paint. There's no use in doing anything but trying to help everyone improve! Now if ya don't mind let's let this thread drop off the page and GPoodle can redouble his efforts, and paint some clothing ^_^
