Was wondering who plays an instrument or instruments and if so what are they? Also what kind of music do you like to play?
I myself play guitar and mostly play the blues, or at least try to
I consider the computer and turn-tables (DJing) to be instruments aswell...
your replies please

umm... I play the pots and pans with spoons
and chop sticks...
Actually I try to play guitar... but my
boyfriend is like a guitar guru... he plays blues, funk, country (blah) and alternative.
Pretty well rounded I guess. He knows a lot
of Nirvana.... tries to teach me but... haha that's kind of hopeless to me cuz I'm
uncoordinated and I have no rhythm. |

I've played piano for almost 9 years now, and teach as well.
I've played a lot of video game music from FF7 and FF8 (yes, kids.. real sheet music), and some Zelda. My favorite composer would probably be Debussy; I'm working on the sweet piece 'Clair de Lune' right now.
I'm also trying to teach myself guitar, and have gotten ok at it, though i have too much going on to practice much

I started piano around 3 or 4....then stopped for awhile then started again in highschool. I like playing, but i have a crappy keyboard from 1991 so i dont like playing on it anymore.
(kurisu your short animations always put a smile on my face...i wanna see more!)

I'm glad, Dhabih Thanks for sharing that. Helping someone smile makes it worthwhile I can't stop poopin' 'em out - so there'll be plenty more! With friends like me, who needs enemas - I know ;P
Speaking of old keyboards, I'm holding... in my hands... right now... a Casio VL-TONE.
Anybody know what that is? For those unfamiliar, it is a 12" wide, white keyboard labeled an 'Electronic Musical Instrument.' It proudly sports a whopping 29 (super) miniature keys (non-weighted). This was my first keyboard back in - whenever that was (1980 maybe?) and it still purrs like a kitten! Pretty cool... It's got Piano, Fantasy, Violin, Flute, Guitar and ADSR (programmable) sounds... and they all sound the same! It's even got a line out! DeLite sampled at least one of its *beep-beep* beats from way back when. Now *this* brings a smile to my face :P
I'm still using my Ensoniq Mirage 8-bit sampler... from '85 or so. Man. Has it been *that* long?! It's got a 2-digit display... and everything from the status to functions and their values fit into its little tiny flickering window! Sort of like 'play-by-hex'...
Ah well, off to finish a monkey animation

I play bagpipes. I've been playing them for about 7 years now and I'd say I'm really good. I also play the bodhran, sax (7 yrs too), a little piano, and tin whistle. I would like to play the uilleann pipes but it's hard to find an instructor that's not 4 states away.
Oz - to the Q3
