my first post didnt show i dont know why. i guess it's geocities' problem. i hope it works this time.

this is the picture i am currently working on, and i am planning to give this rose to the girl i like for christmax. any suggestion on how to make it look more romantic? or point out anything that you dont like about it in terms of design and technique. thank you.

Thats a nice rose. If you want it more romantic perhaps soften it a little. Go easy in the red. I am getting overwhelmed with the red in the image.

hey there. its a pretty nice rose so far. if you want the red flower to stand out more. use a green.. id suggest a light unsaturated green, just so it doesnt look to christmas like... or go with a colour thats close to red like an orange or yellow. hope that helps

This looks like it was done in painter. I know of one way of softing a picture. It is a cheat I know but it works. open the file in Photoshop and create a duplicate layer and use the gaussian blur and set it so that it does not destort the picture, but softens it. I hope it works for ya. I did the same thing a while back when I was on the bus, I would draw 'cute' or 'beautiful' things for attractive women that were near by. If all else failed I made their day.
