This is about 2 hours worth of work. I gotta leave for work now so decided I might as well get some halfway through comments before I continue working on this pic when I get home again..
Im already fed up with the static pose, weird chin line and the hands need some work too.. I still havent decided on a proper lightsource either. What should I change before I embark on some serious shading/highlighting on the armor? Paintovers are welcome

big one to remember....
Shadows aren't just black. They are darker values of whatever color they are on. They also are different based on what kind of ambient light is around.
