Okay so i completely reworked this thing.
Put him in the snow and changed color a bit.

This is my first no-break couple hour pass at it, and i've just started working on highlighting the body and stuff. background still needs a lot of work (esp. the fence).

But i think it reads a lot better and looks cooler. hehe. cool. snow... get it? *needs sleep*

I love this picture!!!! I love the creature design, and I like what you have done. I hope you but a body in the snow so the blood coming off of that blade was coming out of him.

tone: for now there's just the shoulderpad, but i may do a split breastplate in the big red ditch next to it there, and a random arm in the snow behind him or something.

Null: hehe my next one has to be a lot more clear. Right now this is visually a generic big Tyranid. It started based on one of my Mutant Tyranid Warrior models, but looks as much like a lictor and a Hive Tyrant as it does a warrior.
Do you think it would help if i put a few more in the backgroud as well?
I think part of the problem (aside from his "equipment") is that right now he's solo, and you never see a warrior solo.

It would be cool if you could add a little bit of snow on him so he looks like he wasnt zapped into the the climate all baddass like he just disembowled someone. hehe Nice though.
