I semi-agree, but I think it's more along the lines of "Quit taking this l33t-o-phony so seriously. If you feel like pointing out a traceover by him, then by all means go for it, but don't expect anyone to commend you or be surprised. You're doing no one any good if you do such a thing, and will only result in making yourself look like a jackass."
And, the tiny nagging Impaler in the back of my mind makde me post this, which is at the least a curiosity, considering the author of both.

why should we have to decide one way or the other, it's ludicrous that he's allowed to still post here, he's done so many threats and insults, not too mention his idiocy, zealotism, ignorance and lack of artistic skill. Plus he lies about technique. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN BANNED MONTHS AGO. yes we should ignore him, but we see him still being allowed to post insulting crap every day and it gets under my skin |

Im sure people find the fact that he is allowed to post in here after all he said and did more disturbing than the fact he does phototraces and shit.
The point is that this here is the internet and even if there are moderators, they dont "have" to kick him, they arent the police clubbing down somebody who started a fight in a bar and if they would be, dont you think they would also kick those who didnt start but also fight? Im not really sure if they should ban him at all, I think it would be better if our community here would ignore him.
Here is a near anarchy and not a democracy. We cant vote to ban somebody.
I also think that if we would behave nice and normal, without replying to his threads and he would do one step further and fill the forum with shitty, aggressive threads he would be shut down by moderators. |

Impaler- This is not a belligerent demand, like the post by stneil that I was responding to, but an appeal to everyone's sense of decency and respect. Different situation here (shame on you for quoting out of context! ). Flaming this man only brings you to his level, and any advice you attempt to give him will go unheeded. Meanwhile, the negativity he generates either directly or in response casts a pall over the forum and distracts attention from those who truly need help or wish to learn. He will not be banned, and I don't think that's the right answer anyway. We can take back the power, though, by refusing to be baited by him. So I stand by both statements. |

At some point too much is still too much. There needs to be an end in sight, but alas this is not within my control. |

I hate to break it to you... but this isn't a democracy, it's a forum owned by one person, with a pair of right hands. Your desires to be rid of stneil777 are utterly meaningless, and constant crap like this is most likely going completely ignored. It's just not up to you. Nobody cares who you think should be allowed to post here.
stneil777 himself is not the problem, as far as I'm concerned. Granted, his posts are sometimes rather dubious in nature, but the real problem lies in the immortality of his threads. This undying power is not something he himself is resplonsible for... it comes directly from the fools who can't leave it alone, who are so impulsively weak that they can't let him slide by without caving in to the urge to have just another dig at him.
By far, the most effective way to get rid of someone is to completely ignore them. Anything else will just make them all the more determined to fight it out.
In my humble opinion, stneil777 has done nothing worthy of ban treatment. This is not to say that I like his posts... just that, while I think he's a tad misguided, he's done nothing banworthy. However, if it does come to banning, he is certainly not the only one I'd be hitting over the head with the ban stick. It's not him who is keeping his threads permanently active. The biggest problem by far is that several people are so pathetically obsessed with slamming him time and time again. Have you no will of your own, that you must follow the herd like a mindless sheep, constantly pissing on the condemned in a feeble effort to seek the approval of your peers? Are you so infatuated with him that you must follow him everywhere, fuel his fires almost religiously? I'm no fan of the man's art, but he's far from the most pathetic lifeform in his threads. |

We have given Neil alot of chances, he threw them away and insult ppl back with his stupid bible crap. Then, he keep post even more crap just like the first day. If some one is anoying, its hard to ignore that person, it make me want to get up and do something about it. Ignoring is good but some times its really hard to. |

Sacrelicious-- Thanks for clearing that up. It just worried me that you would tell us to not read his threads on one hand and yell at him for telling people to do the same with the other. That, and it's a hypocritical. However, since this is a request and not a belligerent demand like stneil's, I can let it slide.
You ARE right. He won't be banned, and doing so would create a slippery slope situation that would eventually eat the forum whole, assuming stneil is real. That and Dhab and the other mods are such compassionate fellows/fellowettes that they feel like giving anybody a chance. Or two, or three, or four.
I assume he is not, and thus banning him would be like shooting a decoy while hunting.
So, ignore him or don't, but keep the useless self-defaming posts to a minimum, people. They are the true catalyzers of the whole stneil combustimication, and seeing as I just now read Twisted's thread, I'm just gonna be treading water if I continue, so, yeah. |

Who cares, you're acknowledging him by even creating this thread, if you don't like his digital presence, don't fucking reply, don't acknowledge him, that's the beauty of online forums. I've already said too much.
He'll either conform to our standards, or he'll continue being defensive, fighting his own little war...

SlightlyTwisted- If nobody cares what I think then why are people replying to this thread? Furthermore, you must not have read the posts here very carefully- my point is that we should ignore him, the same as yours. I agree with you that the people who flame him only make things worse- the only thing is, they'll continue to do it unless otherwise asked. That was the purpose of this thread. I was a bit brief in the first post because I was extremely hung over earlier today. |

Allright, here's the deal...How can you ignore him when he turns up everywhere at any time? Everytime i wannna check the finished section i see his name, i check the work in progress and i see his name, i check the discussion area and i see his name, i check the random musings and i see his fucking name again. How the hell does that help?! |

From reading Sumaleth's posts regarding StNeil, I believe that he fully understands what is going on and realizes that although StNeil is the one who is starting trouble, it is the people who constantly flame him and put his posts back on top that are perpetuating the trouble. I think that banning him would lead to a major disruption and possibly even a major change in this forum that would not be for the better. If StNeil were to be banned, then there are surely hundreds of other whom could be justifibly banned as well because of their activity in his threads and in others. I think that not banning StNeil is probably for the best. If this forum and its members can survive through this and work out a solution on its own then I think the community and the members as whole will benefit more than if mass bannings were to take place.
Hopefully all of that made some sense and wasn't too redundant. Also, I hope I spelled everything correctly and used good grammar throughout.
