She looks like she's really pissed off at that (I forget the exact word) bracelet on her forarm.
Her proportions are off, but not disturbingly. What is disturbing, however, is the lack of values; especially on her breastplate. You would do well, also, to soften the lines around her... from her form to black is far too rigid. It can be as simple as getting a smudge tool, and lightly going over it.
Her left (our right) shoulder pad is set too low... her shoulder is getting squeezed to death in there. From her flesh to the metal of that shoulder, there is a poor transition... you could simply move the armor up a bit.
One last comment: You have your highest levels of contrast and saturation on her arm and leg armor... her breastplate, which should be shiniest of all, is dullest... you should create a focal point of the painting, where everything else is less important... definitely desaturate the arm/leg armor, and work on having more interesting things going on with her breastplate... more contrast is a definite must, as well as saturation...
I have other comments, but it's sorta going too far right now. Over all it's a fine piece, and properly rendered, could prove pretty friggin' cool. |

yeah... about the being-mad-at-her-hand and the background blackness:
she is going to be part of a homepage, so ive made the edges pixel-sharp for later insertion of a nice background... she is mad at a, soon to come, dragon... perhaps the agression will seem more motivated then
ive been messing around with her hair too... looked a bit on enaylas hair-tut. and my female warriors hair is kind of a bad exaggerated chaos-version of that
Ill start drawing the dragon now! |
