hey this is a lil test render of a robot thing im working on. it's a camera the size of a golf ball. it stays in the sphere form to get shipped around a hospital in those vaccuum tubes like at the bank. when it comes out of the tube at its destination it pops open and then floats around the room filming the patients. its for a short live action film for school. not quite done, need to finish the lens and add some other things.. anyway here it is so far..

need mpeg4/divx codec

Pretty cool, though it seems a little too clean--even new it would have flaws from the manufacturing process. The edges around where the lense pops out don't reflect any light, which would add a lot to the feel of the edge. Also, the two counterrotating engines might counteract each other(that's just a physics thing, though, and not an aesthetic critique). Really cool, though. I like it a lot. And the Idea is cool to me, too. |

hey,
all valid comments, my responses are the model is only the size of a golf ball and there are no close ups so i think theres too much detail as it is. as far as the physics thing, they are counter rotating to avoid that problem, they arent engines persay, they are um counter rotating anti-gravity nubs heh

*bump*
since its supposed to be in a hospital.. make it look like it belongs in a hospital instead of on the battlefield... maybe make it a flat white or hospital green or even better make the ball out of that cool hospital glass and model the other parts of it inside so that they are visible through the glass (i know thats alot of work) ... i agree with spiraleye's comments about how there should be flaws and i also believe that there should be some markings on it... like who is it made by.. when was it made... are there others in the same hospital? if so there should be a number on it distinguishing it from the others... very cool idea tho |
