Looks really good so far. My only tip would be to make sure to round out the armor pieces with shading, they are very flat as is. I realize that this is probably because you're still working on it, but I just wanted to let you know.

I love dwarf pics, and this one is coming along nicely. One thing I noticed is that the shoulders seem to be a little small. At the moment the arms are smaller at the shoulder than they are at the elbow.

I think the arch of the cuff of the gauntlets should be steeper to show how it curves along the edge of the wrist/arm, also I'm not certain how (I know, not very helpful...) but the waist armor could use some refinement for depth defining
[edited to add]
I noticed also the waist band goes straight across and does not curve backward (through foreshortening) or curve up or down to show the perspective of the angle on the shot

Lookin' good bro. The only thing I might recommend (which it's a little late now, is make it a more dynamic pose. Dwarves, by nature, are stocky creatures, but can be extremely dynamic in speed and movement. Here's a quick drawing I did a little while back that might help illustrate it.

But other than that, I'm liking the treatment of the paint. Nice facial construction

Vesuvius- yea, it looks very flat. I have to look att more reference, i just paint from my mind and that makes me do these misstake.
I will try to fix it up
Thx for your help!

Salty Dog- Thx! yea the pose is, as usual, boring. It has to do with looking at referenc. I dont! And when i try to paint pepole in motion is gets wierd!
So more referenc and study!
Very nice sketch! i will try making one with a more dynamic pose, do you know any good url with good refernence, pepole in motion?

Poxen: I would make sure that the arms, wrists and such look a little rounder... the more parralel they are to the camera's line of sight, the "rounder" they are... yours seem to be flattened out, the cross sections too 'squashed'. Also on the fingers; think of the thickness of the fingers wrapping around the handle and see how the thickness represented isn't enough, and give them more volume, as of right now they also seem flat. The clenched fists should be probably be a little 'taller' compared to their widths, the ratio from fist width and height is almost a 4:3 like your monitor. Otherwise it looks nice. Will look forward to seeing the finished one.

frost.
