well i haven't been making heads for to long so this is my best so far and i am trying to get the skin to look halfway realistic. i know i got a long way to go but any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Well, thats nice!
Im not an 3D artist, but..
I guess your intension was to make an old man. If that was the intention i think the top of the head looks good (the forehead, the eyes, the nose and the wrinkles. But the chin and the mouth needs to be widened.. it looks like a childs chin/mouth on a old mans head, I hope you understand what im trying to say..

the model itself needs more work, but for some good skin info, check out steven stahlberg's tutorials:
