This is what I know about this genius (he's my favourite traditional matte artist):

He does(or used to) on and off work for Matte World Digital. I think he owned half of the company, the other half belonging to Craig Barron.

He supposedly retreated to the country side (even another state as far as I know) to do his own paintings.

He's also doing book illustrations - maybe that's what he's doing these days.

He kinda seems to have disappeared from the VFX business ... anyone knows more? Spooge might be able to tell us a little bit about this fella ...

Wow, I didn't know about the book illustration. Do you know what books he has done this for?

I definatly agree with your choice of Fav traditional matte artist. He more then anyone has been the biggest inlfuence on my painting.

Anyone else happen to hear any stories?
