Here's a new character that I've been working on for a week or so now. He's going to be the focus of some animations for a new demo reel that I'm working on. I tried to keep him really simple and managable so that I could get him setup and ready to animate pretty easily and without too much hassle.

Hehe... MeatyCheesyBoy. Like your nic. Is it from the Jack-in-the-Box commercial?

I don't know anything about 3D, but I like that character. It's awesome.

That's a pretty cool figure. On the second picture, you need a big caption that says "ACES!"... then it'd be perfect.

I think if you were leaving it as just a pic it could use better texturing, but since you're using him for animation, I agree it'd be better to leave it as simple as possible to cut down the render time..but I'm sure you already know that.

Wow.. hehe.. I couldn't come up with something like this. Kind of reminds me of the wallace and grommit characters, i think it's the smile.

Only thing though.. one thing I always complain about with 3D characters in general is that the structures are way too 'globby'.. they lack structure somehow. In particular the arms and chest area. The face looks the best I think because it has the most detail and there is the occasional crease.

..and that's all I have to say about that

BTW.. I'm a little angry.. they ran out of cake at the graduation ceremony today..
