umm..just need sum crits before i go ahead and finish the pic....it started out as a doodle in photoshop...i then created the defining lines, which is unusual for me seeings tho i dont do line art ...ever...nywho...enough goobablabba
ps.no laughing at the flames...only my second attempt at fire!!..

good fire for not having done much of it, fire is tough...i think your proportions are a little off..it looks like the arm hes holding the gun in is a helluva lot bigger than the other arm, and maybe the highlights on the gun are a little to bright..but its a good start, a couple adjustments and you could have something here

hi n8,

nice start. here's a couple comments/suggestions.
You could liven up your lines by varying the width of them in places. The lines should be able to define the form even without the shading.

As Crak said, gun arm is way bigger than other. Try flipping your picture horizontal every so often - it helps you notice things like that, allows you to sort of see it how someone else would see your work.

I can't tell what's going on with the left hand other than that it's glowing for some reason.

You could make the background more interesting by deepining the values in places, like behind the railing, to show more extreme depth.

i don't think you need the white highlight on the gun.

according to the shading on the guy, and his shadow, the light is coming directly from the left, but your fire seems to be to the left and down. maybe just move his shadow more towards his back.

hey thanks for the crit guys...
i realised the arm was abit big...but it had to accomadate the gun..hehehe =) and the highlight on the gun was gonna get fixed before the final ver thanx =)...
o yeah..and as for the linework, ill try fix that up asap.

thanx dangermouse...the gun was a quikie off the top of my head when i sketched it, ill be sure to fix it in the final ver =)
