hmm, methinks it would be nice to add a little road.. and then maybe a few medieval merchants on horseback riding down it. that's just what occured to me don't take heed if you don't wanna.

im not the master of details my self but you could start by making the clouds more defined. Right now it looks pretty blurry add some more shadows too. Try to find a refence pic and see the details it has for help.

How bout a huge red dragon, partially blotting out the sun, hovering mightily above an egoistical knight in smoldering armour, the grass around him blackened. And the dragon must have a gleam in one glowing eye [though how dyou add a gleam to a glowing eye, hm?]. Anyway, this gleam should be a wicked one, for the dragon is considering a snack. And common knowledge will tell you that dragons absolutely love bite sized egoistical knights.

I'm a little too newbie in 2D to put there a dragon. I can put there a 3D dragon though...

Here's my quick idea. I couldn't resist doing something with it. I like the spring like feeling of your image.
Best,

couldnt resist either. Trying to think like Isric.
Do you need to put more objects in it or maybe just refine what is already there? not like I did. |

@Craig:heh... you've got two threads of your own and you post a picturer instead.
Feels good to know you're still around. I thought that if you had left, lots of good artists would have followed you.
But now look! He's still here. So there can't be anything wrong with helping 'us'. So stay here ya'll!

My good god Craig! I thought Andy's picture was lacking something; now I know what it was. I don't know if you'll read this, but I was sorry to hear of your troubles, and I'm glad that you're sticking around. You tend to remind me, as do many others here, just how much is possible.

I really just want to say thank you, Craig, for your incouragement and small coments. They are what give me the confidence to think I am more than just 'a guy who draws and his parents think he's gifted' and more like someone who's artistic ideas are worth something. I hope you read this, if not, well, i'll tell you later then.
Beautiful starting image by the way. I really like the empty vastness of it without to much to look at. keen stuff

Thanks for your good replys!!
Actually I think that some times it is better to let people imagin the rest of things themself. That is why I'm afraid to add detail. I'm not too good at this
But I'm trying and soon you will see my work
Thanks again.

HOLY SHIT!
I also really like the vastness of the beginning pic, and I absolutely love what you did with it Oblagon.. I love those colours. And needless to say I was astounded with Craig's workover. I think I'll try something with this.. it's quite inspiring. I wanna see you do something with this Isric! |

Glad you liked it.
Spooge, actually that's not my name. I'm not Asian. I think I was reading some book about samurais while picking a nick. |

I like the second variant.
But clouds.. hm.. they are not clouds at all.
And you should probably put some character on the road..
Anyway good work.
