Hey guys! I've been working on skins for a soon to be released Q3A model called "Fang".
Just wanted to see what you guys thinks of it, and if you have any crits. Fire away!
This is the default skin. It's pretty much finished....
and here's the CTF red/blue team skin I'm working on now...
What do ya think?

Will it look like the top thing in the game? In that case it's cool as hell. It'll look pretty funky holding a rocket launcher with those wee little arms tho =) |

Heh, actually the rockets, etc. DO come out of his mouth! And when you are running about and grab a weapon, he scoops it up in his mouth like he ate it. HAAHAH!
Another funny thing he does is when he dies and falls on his back, one of his back legs kicks in the air LOL!

Well it's about time you finished those!
Looks awesome.
I'm sure they will be VERY happy with the final result.
the legs turned out really nice too.
is that the 8 bit map? or does quake handle a higher one?

q3 can handle 24bit + 8 bit alpha images. though it works alot with shader definition files, so you can define severel layers that are mapped differently/have different transparencys/multiply/etc.
though the kenginge will rock that one, atleast the bits i'm writing |

Thanks everyone! It's almost ready. I'll post a link in this thread when it's downloadable. You'll be able to get it from Polycount, Skindom, etc as well.
To 'render' it, I used a program called SeeMD3, then took a screenshot haahah.
Yeah, I'd like to do a skin that used the effects shaders that Q3A has. Some of them are really cool. |
