Well, I guess its looking a bit plain right now..I want to keep it simple but still make things a bit more interesting.. The junk(boat) still needs alot of work..Are the reflections off? I didnt have any good reference..
Anyway, here it is:

I love the image so far. For a minute there I thought the water was moving...then again maybe that's just some sort of acid flashback eh? The island things are too flat to the water, usually they have some curve due to changing distance of parts of it to the viewer. I love the depth done with atmosphere. Perhaps a little more green (or brown if they are just the rock kind) saturation in the foreground ones...but that could be pushing it.
Excellent job.

Great picture. Yah, the islands shouldnt hit the water at a straight line. |

This is a really nice image. As far as critiques go, yeah, what they said.

Glad you liked it. When I looked at the picture again today all I could see was a lot of mistakes..ah.. Thats what you get from sleepless nights with not enough caffeine, I guess.
ZenDrag0n - Yes, you are right... In the original version the eye level was just above the surface, didnt think enough. Arghh.
The cliffs are also supposed to be more distant than they are appear to be, hence the lack of detail. Oh well.
the_monkey - Thanks You been to 'nam? I'm planning to sometime this year...
Anyway, I'll post an update tonight.

thast real nice but i would work on the islands like the above critiques. maybe try adding some heavy darks on the islands too and some like rocky highlights at the top of the islands great start - i really like the boat and the water
