Beautiful, but I think that blue tones instead of red ones would give the image more deepness and she would look sad. Now she looks more upset

Hey toast, I prefer the previus version
The short hair is more appealing, her right shoulder is too high and the background is strange. Her tear is ok, but her face still isn't very sad, and I still think a blue scheme would be better

heya ragnarok

humm , i personnaly prefer long hair when i said sad that wasnt really this (my english is so bad man ) i wanted her to look angry, like someone just broke her heart ; upset would be a better word, you re right

anyway thanks for the tips, i will try a blue scheme with photoshop

I like the second the most, although short hair is appealing, this doesn't seem to be a "beauty-pic".
I think it looks like th tear runs in the wrong place. It would only run that far out if she had her head tilted the other way. In this respect the previous (shorthaired) version looks more correct.
Why not try it yourself? You, an onion, infront of a mirror.

I really love the second version, i kinda like this color scheme but it may be good too in bluish tones. the only problem i see is her right shoulder wich is too high.

her bra is really well done (son corset, je connais pas le mot anglais )

and i prefer long hair too

hRmm....... the count me right on this but I think the problem is that the head tilt is wrong. The way her head is tilted doesn't really match with where her eyes are looking.

I LOVE THAT ONE THE BEST.. she looks a little pissed, you can see it in her eyes.. and the face and hair match the emotion really well.. Well done, a major improvement

Hmm, i would add a tint of blue coming in on the right side. It would give it some more umm feeling. nice pic, and its great how you reworked it so much

right off the bat, i think her eyes should be a little more closed, her upper eyelid coming down that is. i like her lips better in the second version, as well as the hair. the background shouldn't be so sudden, like the spontaneous change from red-black to gray. you should try meshinga little gray into the red-black.. it would give it more depth, like she's in front of something. use some other colors, too. purples and blues are imo more acceptable for this pic.

wow, that was a lot of bashing. i'm going to stop now. her eyes are very well done, and i like the left eye in the 3rd pic the best. the shadow on that eye is excellent too. the image portays the emotion very well. neat!

she doesn't look sad enuff, IMO. Make her out, dammit! bring the inside edges of her eyebrows up, and turn down the edges of her mouth. Nice expression in the eyes, tho... her left one especially. perfect.

here's a quick bash. changed the red tone to blue (seems more morose) and made the eyebrow changes I talked about, plus I added a tear and made her eyes glisten with more on the way. this is just for ideas...

sorry if you object to people f***ing with your image...

Hi Toast!

I think this looks good, man. I like the red light. I really don't have a favorite among the 3 different paintings, because they are all very different in expression. If you want them to be sad, try to work more on the facial expression. You could open the mouth a little, revealing a little teeth? just a little, like she breathing through her mouth. Also, I think you should try out some complementary colors.. Now that you have the red light on the left, try put a little green on the right. That seriously can bring your picture to life.

Keep it up my friend!

thanks people, this new section seems to be very helpful

i will give it a try this evening and came back with a new version

turboYVR, there s no problem with that for me, you could do what you want with he pic ;i agree with the idea it s really better to show something visually ; i still prefer the red scheme, i often use cold ones and it s good to make something differents some times

heya kjetil thanks for your reply ; your ideas with the green and the mouth opening a bit seem pretty good ; i still have a lot to learn with color theory ..

thanks again everyone, i ll be back with a new improved version i hope

see you
toast

I like the third version the most. If you want to put tears into it, only draw the highlights on the tears tracks; nothing else is visible of them (no shadows, no complete trail).

Hey toast you are very productive

the third version is nice (like someone said her left eye is very good) but i still prefer the second pic, i think the backgroudn and the hair in this one was excellent

the only thing that bother me in the second pic is that her mouth seems to be not aligned with the nose and the eyes, i think it should be moved a litle to the left of the pic.
dos this and fix the shoulder on the second pic and i will have a new wallpaper for some times, i really enjoy the color scheme and the overall feeeling, and she is really pretty

Hi Toast!
Don't give up on it! I think it's a great process, not only for you, but also for others to learn from.

Thumbs up

Hm. I think you lost the sad feeling, now she just looks curious, IMHO. Third was better concerning facial expression.
