I don't know if this is really the right forum, but I have a problem with my tablet setup. Every time I touch the stylus to the tablet, there is a slight delay between the moment the pen touches the surface and the stroke registers onscreen. It becomes very difficult to make short and/or precise strokes, as I almost have to wait for half a second as I begin to draw for Photoshop to catch up with my hand. Does anyone else have this problem? Can you offer any advice? Thanks in advance.
My system specs (i.e. I don't think mine is a hardware-related problem:
AMD Athlon 1800+ on ABiT KG7-RAID motherboard
80GB RAID, 7200 rpm HDD
Geforce3 Ti500 (the manufacturer is Winfast)
512 MB DDRRAM
**Wacom Graphire2

that is most likely because you have doubleclick enabled. that means that the wacom waits for a short period of time when you put the pen down, to see if you tap it again (i.e. doubleclicking).
turn of doubleclick in the wacom setup and the problem will go away.
(you can always use the button on the side of the pen as doubleclick anyway)
hope that helps |
