Been having a drink with Fraser McLean (Roger Rabbit, Tarzan...) recently. We somehow came to talk about music and came to the conclusion that actually almost everybody we know who is brilliant at drawing also plays some kind of instrument (guitar, drums, bagpipes, whatever). Guess it has to do something with a certain feeling for rhytm (and also by playing i.e. guitar you train your left brain-half which actually plays a major role in creativity and artistic understanding)...
Who of you plays an instrument? Which one? just curious...
cheers,
nox

I don't play any instruments, but I do compose music digitally using Impulse Tracker and Orion. Impulse Tracker feels like an instrument now . . . I have no idea what keys I'm pressing anymore, its all muscle memory.
I've got a record coming out soon on a UK label. Here's a link to one of my tracks:

or smaller version:

I've never had any musical training to speak of . . . I'd been using chords for years before I ever had anyone explain to me what a chord actually was |

I played the irish penny whistle for a while, got pretty good at it, then I stopped to focus on my painting and drawing. |
