Hello all you people. I was wondering if you all could give me some tips or some websites on how to draw armor on knights. I am very desperate to learn how because that's my major weakness in art right now.

Well, I rarely draw armor, so I won't be much help.

The biggest help, of course, are references. Looking at armor can help you understand how they work --- where it's important to have joints, where are the most protective spots, etc.

If you live anywhere near a museum (sigh, I wish) that can be a fantastic resource. That was you can see the armor close-up and personal in all it's 3D glory.

But if you can't do that, there are lots of armor shops online. Also you could try looking at some SCA (Society of Creative Anachronism) sites. They'll probably even have tips about *making* armor, so that could be a big help.

learning how to do the chrome effect is really helpful i guess. www.polykarbon.com (or something like that. i forgot the address.) had a really good tutorial there. can be applied to any technique really, if u get the essence of it.
