Ok, I have it narrowed down to a few choices of Wacom pads. Which would you suggest?

the choices are:

Wacom Intuos 12x12 Tablet (Serial)
-or the-
Wacom Intuos2 4x5 Tablet w/ mouse

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

If you want to go big, the 12x12 is kind of a waste because its square and your monitor isn't. The 12x9 would more closely match the aspect of your monitor, and would probably be at least a little bit cheaper.

I've got a 12x12, and the bottom three inches never get used. I got it for $100 though, so I ain't complainin'

I definitely prefer big tablets because I always worked large in traditional media . . . I feel more comfortable drawing with my arm instead of my wrist.

I use the 2 x 2, fits really good in my pocket for my laptop, especially for those ah-ha idea moments!
