I have the smallest Wacom tablet...mainly because of budget and affordability. Luckily they had it at my local wholesale place for $60. I couldn't pass it up. Really, it might depend on your work space. If you have the luxury of getting any size you want, then go for it. I have used larger tablets, but I like mine. To each their own, it's just what feels comfortable to you. I don't think you can go wrong with a Wacom tablet. A guy that used to work with me had one that was six years old. So it's definitely a good investment. ......Just my opinion. |

I use an A6 one because I like it best! I draw really small in real life, and large tablets irk me as I can't control my movements very well over a large sweep. Your mileage may well vary, its a personal thing. My way of working with a small tablet is to zoom right in and be quite precise, just ask yourself how you draw on paper, do you need a lot of space?
If financial restraint is a problem then maybe you can get yourself a cheapo Graphire to tide you over and save up for an Intuos, you'll soon find out if A6 is too small. |

I olmost find my A6 sized wacom graphire to big sometimes! =)
i hate having to move my hand to much when drawing on a computer (its pretty different from drawing IRL if you ask me)
The most important thing is that you get preassure sensitivity.
My wacom graphire cost me about 100 USD when i got it more than a year ago, i also got Painter Classic with it
that was probably the best buy i've ever done |
