I have pictures in my head not voices but pictures, but most of the times I try to make them in to something it fails (ok allways)
Paper, 2d, 3d I have tried them all but it seems to be impossible to greate anything that would satisfy me, never do I end up with the original idea.
It's becomming frustrating and I feel hopeless. |

I think the answer is speed,
The faster you can put down the things you are seeing, the better. Draw sketches of the different and describe things you imagine while the images are still fresh. Illustration and fine art courses often ask their students to keep dream diaries, where sketches and words mix together to keep the memory of the dream.
Images from dreams or "visions" as you may be experiencing are often worthwhile motives to be turned into images.
Of course you need to be able to noodle down your sketches and words relatively confidently and in detail for it to be of any use. If you loose focus and noodle around with intricate details, you may lose the image in your head, but, I'm pretty sure it is the same for most people.
In any case I am sure it is good therapy.
Persistence and patience will get you what you want, frustration and hopelessness will get you nothing ...

I really doubt youll ever will end up with exactly what you were thinking about in the first place,
at least i never do.
But that wouldnt necessiary make it a less good drawing/painting/render. |
