When you say matte painting... you are being quite specific. Matte painting is a specialised area of digital painting. It involves the production of super hi-res super high quality background imagery for movies and motion gfx, usually landscapes, and shots unachievable in reality, or unachievable with 3d gfx.
If you want to learn how to paint like the ppl in this forum, then it is not specfically matte painting. Generally we refer to it as digital painting.
Have you tried looking at Dhabih's tutorial? it is located just before you enter the forums, in his homepage.
Other than that.
Yaz - painting tutorial
Gecko - painting tutorials / walkthru
Mikael Noguchi - tut's / walkthru's
Joachim - tutorial
That should do for now... |
