I'm drawing with my Wacom stylus on my Wacom Tablet in Photoshop and the cursor keeps "sticking" while I am drawing. It just keeps hanging up while I am colouring and I don't know why. I know that it is the tablet, because when I try it with my mouse, it doesn't stick. I downloaded the newest drivers for the tablet, but that didn't fix the problem. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!
Thanks! |

Got a slow CPU? That could be the culprit. Check the stylus nib too... they can become worn and tend to act a little weird. A damaged stylus can also skip, so a pen replacement might be in order. It might still be under warrenty as well. If not, you can get a new one resonably cheap off the Wacom site.

Mine would occasionally do similar odd things and per suggestions here, the apparent culprit was my tablets close proximity to the monitor. I now use it on my lap (not much free desk space) and it works fine. I'm not a tech head at all so I don't recall the reasons behind that, but Pat's advice is always sound (PhotoShop wise as well) so hopefully it will be an easy fix...
Good luck. |

waldo: the monitor issue can also be solved by bumping up the refresh rate of your monitor... mine was solved by raising the refresh rate to about 80hz... of course, now that i'm insisting on keeping my rez at 1280x1024, my highest refresh rate is 60hz, meaning i have to work on my lap or bear with the jumpiness of the cursor... |

Yeah LotekK....
The energy emitted pr Hz from the monitor in low refreshrates are higher than when at highrefrechrates, Cause the monitor only has so much energy
I dunno why I wanted to say that...I have been thinking along those lines lately I guess. (I dream of a new one too )
