when you shade a persons skin, what technique do you use? I use the side of my pencil and then use toilet paper to blend it out. It works sometimes, other times it just looks dirty. I was wondering if anyone else had good ideas or techniques. I could just use a stomp/tortillion, but they're so small and annoying. lol

what's a good site i can find some fantasy art resources on? Someone here told me that i should draw things from imagination, but also use references to help along (at least that's what i think they meant). The next pic i'm doing has a necromancer (i have no idea what they wear... and i'd prefer if it were female), a knight (i want DETAILED armor), and some undead beings that the necroomancer would have summoned or whatever... i don't know enough about what they look like to draw them from my head.
thanks in advance |
