And all this time I bought into their explaination that "Wa" was Japanese meaning Harmony and "Com" was for COMputer, thus Wacom was the input device that brought harmony to our input experience. Those BASTARDS!

Wacom's been pulling a fast one on us all this time. I did some research on our beloved graphics pad, and i found out some freaky stuff. Too freaky stuff.
Ever wonder what Wacom actually means?
Wacom is a Seneca compound word. Wac translates roughly to Juaic, meaning "one who walks in the dark." Om is iohm, which means "to carry a stick of pain".
To walk in the dark carrying a stick of pain (old Gaelic phrase for scythe) is the representation of Iaucos, or Death himself..
Intuos is the old Greek demon of pain. He was created by Zeus to give man some humility, to show them that they aren't so invincible. But Intuos got TOO much pleasure from pain, and even Hades began to fear him, the evil incarnate. So the gods banished Intuos to the 9th chamber of damnation, where they kept the Titans and Gobis.
Their flagship product is the figure of pain, made by Death.
Graphire is the black monster in Norse mythology. Loki took the form of a caterpillar and crawled in his ear, where he cocooned. He butterflied, and killed the Graphire.
Do the research yourself if you don't believe me. It's creepy.
(Seneca translations from the American Ofgar-English to Seneca Translatory dictionary.)

Faustgfx,
It is always interesting to look at your desktop / workspace pictures. I never know what will be there...
1) Music Cd's (Too hard to read titles)
2) Camels (easy to identify)
3) Coke bottles (always empty)
4) Coffee cups (usually 50% full)
5) Other (need more pictures to determine)

HA! April Fool's! wayfinder wins the prize!
Most hilarious thing yet: People post pictures of their Wacom's as if they were their own progeny. :P
