My Calcomp tablets for some reason stopped working last night.
Im TIRED of all of the MAJOR problems I have with them(like them freaking out and developing epilepsy, and making me reboot every 5-10 minutes).
They were big nice ones too. A 12x12 and a 12x18... Neither one works.
The machine just stopped detecting them on bootup. Suddenly. I dont know what the hell happened.
I need to buy a Wacom that will work like a toaster. I turn it on and it works. Nothing less. No shakey cursor, no "pen leaks", no batteries that cost $4 each, and mostly No crappy driver problems.
They are all kinda expensive for me, but anything thats a decent size and cheap would be great. Recommendations anybody? |

I've worked on a 6x8 at school and have a 4x5 at home.. I like the 6x8, since it's small enough to keep on your desk (and use as a mousepad) and you can move your arm rather than just your wrist when brushstroke-ing. yeah.
besides, there's the special edition 6x8 that's neat looking
I don't understand why people really want those insanely huge tablets.. the others work just fine. some people even prefer the 4x5. |

I agree with Nova. There's no need to buy a huge tablet. You'll just tire your arm and shoulders. I have a 6*8 Wacom Intuos, and it works like a dream.

I use a Wacom 9x12 and have never had a single problem with it. I like the size also, because it's much easier to use it for navigating windows without a mouse. |

I've finally decided that im gonna buy a Wacom Graphire today, as a binge buy! I dunno. I just suddenly got into the mood, and have the money saved up.... It's probably a bad thing though, spending close to 200 bucks on this... I should save my money for university or when I move out of my house, but i gotta pamper myself for the summer. Im such a geek....
heh

I bought it! I bought it!! I went to FutureShop and was looking where it usually is (as i always window shopped there), and there were two ziplock bags there. Both were display models of the Wacom USB tablet. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it, other than some people just touching it, but as long as its not busted! I got it a bit cheaper than buying it brand new, so thats good too, and I haev a 2 year warantee just in case it does bust. I had the choice of buying the dark grey one, or the light blue, i chose grey, cuz i dunno, decorating my room isnt too much of a thought on my mind, with my childish wall paper and popples garbage can and dark green shag carpet and all. So now, I gotta use it! Byeeeeeeeeeeeee! Me so happy!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! |
