I was debating on which section to post this in -- it's not a Digital Art Discussion pre s, and it's definitely not a Random Musing... bah, whatever.
Here goes:
I'm looking for an artist interested in breathing life into a script I'm in the middle of writing -- it's a hard-boiled story with a little bit of violence and gun play. Right now it's just 27 pages, with the intro being roughly 20 pages (It's about 1/4 done). They should be comfortable with doing scenery, cities, vehicles, weapons and of course the human figure.
The primary purpose of this novel is to help me visualize the story into something tangible and generate some interest. The script was written for the screen which is where this will (hopefully) lead the project to. Pretty much the same idea in regards to what the Wachowski bros. had done for the Matrix before it was a movie.
As far as what style the novel is going to be in really is up to the artist -- just as long as the overall mood is dark. There will be a little bit of character development needed as well.
So, generally speaking the art can be done in any medium the artist chooses: Digital or Traditional. Location isn't a factor, but being able to talk to someone face-to-face would be a bonus.
I can't promise anything like money or anything (I can already hear chuckles and the click of a thousand mice as they hit the back button ) -- It's a labour of love for me. But, I can promise that if this shows any sort of interest and profit I will make sure that the artist gets more than their fair share.
If you'd like to learn more, e-mail me personally (I believe my e-mail address is in my profile) and I can answer all your questions.
Cheers
