Do you know "Clubbed to death" from RobD???
This is a song from the Matrix-Soundtrack, also a combination between classic and electronica. Sounds damn good!!!
Im looking for more of this stuff.
Does anyone know some interpretes???

That Rob Dougan track is really old. Came out around '95, iirc. It's cool though (the Matrix uses one of the remixes), lots of samples taken from Elgar's Enigma Variations.
The classic electro/clasical hack is of course all those techno versions that have been made out of Karl Orff's Carmina Burana.
I dunno if all these are what Affected is driving at some good combos of eletro and classical can be found in the music of Massive Attack, Lamb and on the soundtrack to "Event Horizon" (farken great stuff, even if you hated the movie).
Probably closer to what Affected's on about are groups like In The Nursery and Dead Can Dance; pretty much totally electronic but they make music that would be pure classical (from lots of periods) if it weren't for the sounds they use.

I'm listening to the radio now. They're playing some old electronica. It's Bach played with old synths and stuff. Oh, weird. I just can't tell who made the stuff, or what record it is on because of the way the narrator pronounces things...
But really, Baroque combined with electronica... Wow.

Yah.. A friend of mine had heard it, too, and knew the name of the performer, except I forgot it again. Surely someone here must know it, apparently it's not all that obscure, either. One of the records was the first classical record to sell Platinum, and is still among the highest-selliong classical records ever...

Hehe, I and a friend of mine decided to rent some bad videos once, and one of them was Event horizon. We had a look at the covers and ti looked bad. We were dissappointed to actually quite like it. Maniac cop 3, though, didn't fail. It was lousy.

Walter/Wendy Carlos?

I love the synth treatment he gave Beethoven for Clockwork Orange - my favorite soundtrack, in fact.

My uncle has a REALLY old record (like 50's old) of some classical music played on the first synths. Kinda interesting.

Just gonna toss my hat into the ring here. Pick up the album 'Classica' guys. You most likely won't be disappointed. It's classical *style* (not actual classical tracks) done by the likes of Aphex Twin, DJ Cam, etc. Pretty interesting listen through....
