Hello,

I've just started to use Photoshop5 with my Graphire tablet, and I'm getting really awfull response time. There is a delay of almost one second between the time I put my tip down and anything appears on screen. Although after Photoshop has started to draw, respons is instantanious. It's just when I put my tip down that there's a delay.
I feel it's quite impossible to work like that, so I was wondering what might be causing it and what might I do to solve it. There might be some slight delay while working in Painter Classic too, but nowhere near as much.

I got a pretty meagre system:
Celeron 300mhz, 256Mb RAM, TNT(1) graphicscard.

Thanks very much!

The First Question When Dealing With Computer Device Problems:

Do you have the latest drivers installed? http://www.wacom.de/download/DoDriv00.htm

Also, that 300 cel could be a little bit too slow for getting near zero response times. I have PIII 800, 256MB RAM, ATi RADEON 32MB DDR and everything works smoothly and without problems.

I had a similar problem, because I had the "double click" activated in the menu, which made the cursor jump and stick on the screen.

Dont know. Its probably something different, but have a try

Before updating your hardware or drivers, check out the control panel for the tablet. On the double-click tab, move the double click speed slider closer to the fast end.
