I've had requests to post an update here on my "painting skin colors digitally" piece - so here it is!
Especially since there's quite a number of new people on the board now I thought I'd go ahead and post since it might be of help in learning and practicing tonal/color relationships in painting basic conventional skin colors. Also especially if you want to digitally practice some of the basic block-in and facial"plane" work like Spooge demonstrated in his oils portrait sketches in the Gallery section.
It's a quick read and there's a Painter6 color set available for download as well as a palette "picture" for use in photoshop.
Have fun!

Hey. You rock, man.
Now I can accomplish my life-long dream of painting naked/shaved monkeys for drug money. |
