I was wondering what type of brushes (water color, acrylic, airbrush etc...) were used to color these pictures:

Are you asking if they were done in a particular traditional medium?

They're definitly digital I think. most likely done with Photoshop. and if they're done with some other app you could probably get the same look in PS. seems to be just simple paintbrush in photoshop for the street fighter ones, maybe some other tools.
the other one looks more like your basic comic colouring style with a painterly touch.

Damn I love that Capcom street fighter shtuff

I know it was digital, I think it was done in painter, but I can't figure out with what type of brush.

The name of the artist who did most of the works in question is Akiman. A quick trip to a search engine will probably net you a lot of images. I know he did a lot of work on Street Fighter 2. More than likely he used Painter to color those images.

I'm not sure what he used, but it would be easy as hell to get that effect just using a solid hard-edged round paintbrush in Photoshop. (Assuming you know how to draw, that is.)
