Im reading the book thats called the same as the topic, anyway, this book mainly includes drawing things that you can see, you know like portraiting (Spellcheck?). Anyway, if i want to learn to draw things from my head, how do i do? Always when i try to picture small details in my head it all goes blurry.. can you train this ability? Is there som other good literature thats good to read?

I've struggled with that. It comes down to this. You have to draw from life as much as possible before drawing from your imagination. When you do that, you sort of build a library of things in your mind, whether it be conscious or not. I think you'll eventually find how to draw imaginative objects from your head, out of things you had actually drawn in life. Every artist draws from life a lot in preparation for producing the images from their mind.

You have to see things honestly or as they are, that's mostly what Drawing With the Right Side of the Brain is about. That's why it gives tutorials that force you to do just that. It's a good book, do the lessons in the book. People have a very subjective way of looking at things, what you need is to see things objectivley, as they really are. Then these things must be practiced. To drill them into your memory. In cases when you want to draw something from your creative mind you might need to use references. It's a struggle for all of us, but it gets easier with time and practice.
Otherwise I can tell you I am thirty five years old, I draw no less then 20 hours a week and I am still learning and trying to develop my ability to draw from memory. Like I said it takes shear practice.
Just my opinion.

Its all about practice...you have to draw lots. When I went to college for fine arts we had 8 hour drawing studios, and i did this for 2 years. Let me tell you (this is not meant to discourage either) that my drawing skills are still not anywhere where i would like them to be. Drawing from memory is like developing a short-hand version of life drawing. We develop methods and shortcuts based on practice from life drawing. These things develope with time. Here are a couple of things that helped me(may not necesarily work for everyone):
I. Take a hike somewhere and draw as much as you can, give your self varying time limits on how long you have to sketch the scene.
II. Don't just draw the things you like to draw, draw anything...
II Pick up a good book on anatomy.
Sorry, I have problably rambled off topic...trying to sound like I know what I am talking about...but I don't, really.

Practice anatomy. On beautiful women. Unless you're hideously ugly. Then practice on yourself. Don't spread those genes, man!
Or if you're gay, practice on guys. Unless your hideously ugly. Then it's just time to give up.
