hi. i'm new here as you can tell by my lost post count. hehe..
i was wondering is it safe to use a wacom graphire as a mouse pad for my optical mouse? I don't like the feel of the one that came with it, and would love to save the extra desk space. Or should I put a thin mouse pad over the wacom to protect it? Obviously i'm concerned with scracthing or damaging it, since i do play games on this computer too.
any info appreciated.. thanks |

I thought the point of an optical mouse was that you didn't need a pad.
I guess if you must, you might as well be on the safe side and set it on a book or something. |

well you can go ahead and do that if you want, but since there isnt much to the surface of a tablet the mouse well have a hard time if you move it around to fast. i still use a mouse pad with my optical mouse, cause my mouse pad has a good texture prited on it, so it catches the movement really well |
