I just completed my first digital painting. Well, I thought I did. When I came back to look at it later, I saw all of the things I wanted to fix.
Mostly, I want to sharpen the painting up, and add more details. I usually do comic book style inking, so details are second nature to me in that medium. Color on the other hand is very new and I haven't quite grasped it yet.
Soooo.... It would be greatly appreciated if you could check my pic out here:

and give me some sagely advice on sharpening and detailing this puppy up. Oh, and to make sure you guys know, I'm usin a mouse here.
Oh, and if Dhabih or Joachim were to just happen upon this post and give a pointer or two, I wouldn't mind...

Hi, though i'm pretty new at digital art myself, i discovered that make the image bigger (in terms of pixels x pixels) you can add a lot more detail, while you are still keeping your original image. Later on, you can still resize it.
Just a suggestion (from a -also- newbie )

Krom,
I'm not the best artist, but here's a couple of ideas.
Highlights. The face and hands have highlights, but the clothes have little if any. This would make the forms look more realistic.
Hands. They look good, but they look a little stunty and fat for the fellow here.
Anyway, hope that helps even a little! |
