I think it has too many lines to be colored. It will require serious cleaning. Just my oppinion.

Spawn rocks! I remember picking up issue 1 when I was in school and thinking "McFarlane is a GOD!"

But I digress ...

The pose you have him in is cool - really powerfull with that superhero look. Muscle definition is pretty good too, but a little more detailing would help. I think if you add more curves and folds to the cape it will flow really well. Think windblown on this one...

Clean this up and then color it and it'll be bad assed.

the form looks solid enough but the line work is far to busy...tone down the scetchiness and try doing some tight line work I think a lot more people would dig it

Nice pic.
I love Spawn and have almost every comic whit his apperance in swedish, and a couple in english...
I see youre using the same pose as the Spawn toy in Spawn Series 17 Classic.
Did you use the toy as a model?

I understand completely with the line complexity... most of my art exp is in pencil/ink, so that's just a habit. Curving the cape shouldn't be to hard, once I get started coloring (my PS experience is very little). And yes, I used the toy model as a reference, from a 2-inch high photo in a catalog.

One quick question, for coloring in Photoshop, selecting colors, is it best to use the default swatch, are their others you can import, or do you guys make your own colors with the rgb-picker.

Thanks for the feedback.

Oh yea man! That pic is great and the rough sketch gives it a great look for spawn, just as it should be! real nice - great proportions too!

started the coloring, mostly solid colors with a multiply layer. fixed up the head and cape (made it more flowy if that's a word)
