Dhabih... When will we see another tutorial...
I say this because I just revisted your galleries, which reminded how well you work in photoshop... I love your softness in your pieces... and then you have you strong ,bold hard pices which are amazing also...
BUt I look at your work and sometimes I really can't think how you did some of those pices... Im guessing a lot of detailed dodge/burn in your earlier works and now more paintbrush work....
I know ppl have ask you this a million times....
but what res do you find comfortable to work in?
how much ram du have in your home pc?
how often do ppl ask you to do commision work for them?
Just Curious ?
thanks
oh also how do you get such smooth gadients in many of your pics...? is that just soft airbrush with low opacity..
i duno
well
thanks....
( I must sound like rea l newbie now, but I have actually sort of developed my own preferences and technique im just interested to see what dhab uses because his work is very unique ) |

you know what is wierd freddio... this is dahb's site but you harly ever see him post here..am I right..??? I mean if you had a site that was like built around your art would'nt you show up from time to time???
He posts like once a week at best..wierd
and don't give me that crap about working in the game industry and not having time. I work in same field he does doing the same thing he does for 12-15 hrs a day..but I casualy surf here as the day goes on. Mostly at night while I am working on my site..anyways he is a really good artist and the big reason a lot of the other really good artists like spooge and liqued and fred came here is cause they liked his art..come on dahb we want to see some more of the good stuff!!!!!!!! |

He's probably playing Counter Strike all the time.
Hey, that reminds me, if Dhab reads this:
Did you do the console pic for the new CS? The close up CT holding the gun?
The eyes looked like Dhab style, but I couldn't tell for sure. |

Yeah, I guess you're right. Looks touched up though, but who knows. Those CS skins are pretty phenomenal.
Anyway, tutorials... |

Ya Dhabih
I am not that far from you man.
I would really hate to take time out of my (not so buisy schedual because I dont have a job because I am in school learning how to get a job in the industy) and drag you to the computar, make you post, and finish up on any work you may be in the midst of. And don't worry. I will try not to take your job.
Oh ya and there Is something I have wanted to ask you.
Have you ever just gone up to that big ass Valve in your loby at work and started turning it?
I really wanted to when I was there.
I should have just swiped it. Its pretty cool

Dhab and deadlines don't mix.
Dhab, dealines and tutorials *really* don't mix.
That should be required knowledge to all forum goers.
That is all

Freddio: I really don't know when i'll be able to do another tutorial, thats the truth. I'd like to say "Well, i'm trying to have one done within the next couple months" but then 2 months goes by and nothing happens. To answer your questions: I am comfortable in a rez that shows everything i'm working on on the screen at once, everything you see in the gallery is pretty much actual size of what i work. I just zoom in a lot to add detail. I have 256 megs of ram....and i get request for commision every week, but i don't take any because i have no time ....smooth gradients are from combo of airbrush, low opacity.
TheMilkMan: I come here everyday to make sure things are going smoothly, I do this at work and once before i sleep. I try to post when i can, and once in awhile i post a lot more in one week than i do in another week, its all based on my work load and what else besides work i do. My job goes in cycles of deadlines and closer to deadlines i dont post anything. I just finished a deadline so you'll see me here a bit more than the last couple weeks. Working in the game industry isn't my excuse for not having time. I have other things that i do after work in addition to having a job that is my reason for not posting everyday. I wish i could, but i cant. That said, i am always thinking of ways to make this place better, add features, stuff like that, so though my participation may not be visible, its an active one.
BenBarker & Freddio: Yes i did the CS guy on the console and the box. SSHHHhhhh...Dont tell anyone but the 2 guys are based off 2 guys at work who I played CS with a lot (I didnt have anything to do with actual CS content though)
Blitz: I turn that valve every day, it makes me feel like a trucker at my big steering wheel. :P hehe
jasonN: well put.
Freddio again: I will still really try to set aside time to work on a tutorial, please understand though if it doesnt happen soon.
I'll start thinking about an image to make a tutorial off of though. so your request is accepted.

Yes
I have often found my self thinking of just driving over, and giving it a turn for good luck.
hehe, That place was confusing though.. We found the loby to give my friends demoreal to the lady, but at first we were confused about the big glass room with people in it having a meeting. But when I saw that Valve I knew we were at the right place.
Well I will be back thatway soon to give my portfolio, not that there gana just leap at the chance to hier me. But mostly because I am giving it to everyone in hops of some advice, and constructiv crits.
Well Dhabih, catcha later.
