Figured you'd like that. By the way, the movie I was thinking of the other day is "Monkey Bone".

That's going to be a twisted fucking film. Can't wait to see it!

P.S. Tim Burton, Planet of the Apes. Opinions?

I'm a huge Tim Burton fan.

Not so fond of Planet of the Apes though.

Ghn.

Wish he wasn't making that one

Apparently Marilyn made some reference to the Chocholate factory in some songs he did with one of his first bands. Before he became just Marilyn Manson.

Now that you mention it, isn't one of their videos based on the boat ride in the chocolate factory?

actually, it was the video for 'Dope Hat'.

the EP "Smells like Children" was a complete rip-off of anything willy wonka, just like Mechanical Animals was a rip off of anything David Bowie.

luckily, i saw him in concert before he became a parody of himself, which incidently happened right after the first album.

:P

But it's Burton, man, BURTON! It doesn't matter who plays anybody if you got Burton. Although.. I think Johnny Depp would be an excellent Wonka.

Man. Burton and Roald Dahl. The two together.. *shudder*

Burton, Depp--a match made in heaven, though anyone with Burton has to be a sucess--I hope Manson can act *ponders*

*scurries off to her Tim Burton shrine*

I don't think Tim Burton, with any actor/acress makes gold... Johnny Depp was fantastic in Sleepy Hollow, but Christina Ricci (sp?) was a joke. She has never come close to how compelling she was in Adams Family, and I doubt she ever will be. I think a cardboard cut-out of Miss Piggy would have captivated me more.

I think Burton will do wonders with Manson... they both know dark very well. I'll watch any Tim Burton movie.... no matter what actor is in there to spoil it, but Christina Ricci is the only one I've disliked... and only in that one movie.

I just hope Danny Elfman keeps composing for Burton. That is the golden pair, in my book.

Okay, hate to break this up, but the Wonka remake is not starring Marilyn Manson and is not being directed by Tim Burton. The movie is being directed by Gary Ross (Pleasantville) and is completely uncast at this point, nor is Marilyn Manson even being considered. Read more at Cinescape.

Get your hands off of me, you damn dirty APE!

POTA rules. I read where there was some plot differences between this and the old one, like they aren't on Earth in the new one. Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

Comic site American Mule has published a series of pics from the Planet Of The Apes makeup tests (by Rick Baker) in case anyone wants a look.
