Like it sais, Ceci n'est pas une circle
Well, i've got this Wacom graphire tablet bought about a year ago... and I started using it not such a long time ago. But if I draw a circle, or when i try even, it just has these 'bends' in it. It doesn't look like circle anymore Those bends only appear when i draw fast and since i'm a fast drawer... right !
I use Photoshop 5, have 64ram, 333Mhz CPU and Wacom graphire with serial connection.
I messed with the preferences but nothing helped. Anyone that can help me with this annoying problem ? Or am I officialy fucked ?
This will prolly be one of the most asked questions, but i still haven't found an dscent answer to it
Tnx and latz, Gul

I'm not even going to get into the problems of drawing circles freehand.
What it might be is a problem between the ratio of your wacom tablet and your screen. You might want to play with that.
To give a crude example:
1 cm vertical on your tablet might equal in effect to 2 cm on your screen, this would cause you to draw elipses instead of circles which may be what you are talking about. Of course this is an unrealistic EXTREME example it would never be out of whack that badly.
How is it drawing anything else with your wacom? If your write your name does it appear the same as though you were writing with a pen and paper?
Of course you can always fall back on the circle tool!

You probably need a faster computer. Just draw slower in the meantime or use the marquee tool for your circles. |

I have a 900 mhz pc and there's still the sme problem. It's when drawing curves too fast. I think you will have that problem even though you'd have a 2ghz pc..I also tried all kinds of tablets, and it's still the same. So, I think you'll just have to learn to live with it....that's what makes it digital art

Awhile back someone asked Adobe about it and they said it was a problem with the brush system. Not sure if the newer versions are fixed though. |

Tinusch shutup you!!
I don't think it's a problem at all because to notice this you gotta draw MAD fast!
It's Photoshop's little 'flaw' if you may call it.. Because in Painter or other program there is no such flaw. |

Pick a brush in Photoshop, and click the little black arrow at the top right of your brush pallete, and click brush options. Your spacing should be at 1% for nice smooth circles. I think 25% is default, so that could be your problem. If spacing is unchecked too, the same problem can occur. So 1% should do it |

I'm not that great at french, but shouldn't it be "Ce n'est pas une circle"?

Like Magritte would say, "Ceci n'est pas un cercle."
btw, same thing happends to me in Photoshop with fast curved strokes. I haven't tryed it with unchecking 'size' and 'presure' tho. Mainly because I use mostly Painter now...
I know this has been discussed in the forum before but haven't checked for possible answers there. -I mainly blamed my slow system and switched program- Try making a little search

This is a Photoshop bug. I've tried all possible settings for the Wacom and the serialport. I've had this problem with PS 5.0 and 5.5. I haven't tried 6.0. And like some of the others have pointed out, Painter does not have this lag problem...
