I know it's upsetting if someone comes along and just totally walks over your artwork, but - get a thicker skin! And if you work in a real job, creating artwork, you'll get one in no time - or you just kill yourself if you can't take it ...
You have to know yourself what your artwork is worth - not only what's great about it, also it's weaknesses - nobody is perfect.

I know I'm new here, but I can't help throw my two cents in.

You don't have to be better than someone to offer advice on possible corrections or enhancements. I show my work to people who don't draw all the time, and a lot of those times I get really good feedback that I can use to better myself and the images I make.

A lot of times I get annoyed, but I have to realize they aren't doing it to mock me or diminish me, but rather to help me.

Yes, Leo was extremely blunt there, but he did in fact say you had excellent skills. Not everyone is going to jump for joy over your work, and its something you just have to live with.

As for the picture, I like it. You have a great style. I personally think a background would mess up the image, but thats just my opinion.
