hi,

think the hair looks too plastic, maybe you should give it more irregularities to get rid of this and give it a more natural look, you can also combine the dodge, burn and erase tool to give it a more realistic aspect and play with light and shadow effects on it.

the idea of the face looks great but maybe the eyebrows look too bold and dark ; you could also increase the res depth and add more details to the face

otherwise, the body is great

hope it will help you
later

toast

thanks for your advice, but I try to
stay away from dodge and burn b/c it destroys the real colors..

i'll do some changes then and just post it 2morrow or so.

hm..he flaw I see, if you want to call it that, is around where her teeth should be. Where the skin dips in around the lips, there's no visible sign of the "teeth cylinder." Look at your reflection at that general area and you'll prob'ly see what I mean.. nice work though

Your biggest problem here is light. You have to decide what direction light is coming from. You have a dark shadow indicating a bright lightsource coming in from the upper left, but this light is not making any highlights on the face or the front of the body. Then you have bright(ish) highlights on her back and undersides of her arms indicating a totally contradictory lightsource coming from below. You have to pick which light is stronger.

Perhaps the photo you're using has a key light and a fill light type of set up - pretty common in portrait photography. Even so, one of these sources should be brigher, and the other a subtle touch just to outline the form against the background. Which you don't even need because your background is white.

Speaking of which, the figure is too dark against this bright white backround, It looks like she's cut out of a different scene. If the background is so high key,you have to try to match the lighting situation on her body....

BTW, that's also your problem with the hair, there's no highlights from either lightsource.

Hope that helps -
