This is a quick pic I did this morning for work - I thought you might be interested in the texture I manged to put into it. It's amazing how much it can improve an image - give it some soul and feeling. Of couse, if the image is as empty as this to start with, it can't do much more than add some aesthetic interest.

(heads of to continue exploring)

Thanks Bilbo,
I was messing around with bringing out the texture in one of my other pics after this, but it just didn't work. It realy has to suit the feel and the character of the image to work - it needs to be balanced out with every other element of a picture so they can all work in harmony, towards the same goal, rather than merely conflicting and confusing the viewer.

A large version of this is going to be used as a splash screen for a CD Rom. There's a huge photoshop logo and a headline to go with it, hence the 'empty' space towards the top and right of the image. I like it like this though, cleaner and more simplistic.
