I did this one with Indian ink and a brush and a pen. Coloured in Photoshop.
Not too scientific.
Comments? crits?

Hey I like that one micke. Thats one of my favorite of your ladies. Did you sketch with pencil first or did you just use the brush and pen? Looks really nice. Glad to see you post some new stuff. |

hi micke
i love that one, she's cute. one thing that seems to be a bit weird is her right hand... i mean she looks like her hand is reversed. and that the thumb is at the opposite place... see what i mean?
anyway real real nice picture.
peace.

Wow, Micke! I love it! Beatiful. I really like about clean tight lines. I would like to know how you practice to draw these clear lines... or have practiced? I have waded through your homepages and I noticed there were many nice sketches in doodies section... and other work were absolutely nice, too. Your style is great. Hmm... How do you came up to the result like that one? Do you know any kind of tutorials of inking on web? I would like to learn to draw/ink more clearly... my problems are unsteadiness and uncertain lines? Can you help me with that?
Ps. Posing is pretty hot!

Very, very good. You really know how to make a drawing simple yet all-inclusive. If that makes sense. She loox cute too |

Ops... I forgot to say. I just wondered is her right hand and particularly thumb would be in wrong position. I think it should be on the side of the right shoulder - not neck. Right?

I like it alot , just a question , could you give me the RGB values you used as the skin color ? cause I 'm kinda done with my anime pick , collored and stuff , but I can't find a correct skin color , and I like the one yuo used a lot (I actually like everything about your pic except for the hand on her shoulder)
So if you could give it to me I'd appreciate it a lot |

Chapel: Thanks I Used the pencil first and went ver it with the ink and brush and later refined some areas with a black thin pen.
Sear:Your'e absolutely right, hehe. I screwed up. Gonna try to fix it.
mum:Thank you. I used to do some comics as a hobby and love people like Brian Bollands inking, you should check him out. I don't know any trick to learn how to ink.It just takes time.Try and try..But i would love to try and help you out if i could. Drop me a mail
Prometheus:
He he, you lazy bastard! Just save the picture and use the picker in PS.
But i would'nt suggest you use this as a
base for skin colours. It wouldn't work at all if it was painted with a lot of more colours involved.

Micke: Okay! I see. Now I have enough time to practice so I'm interested in inking things. Yeah. Maybe I'll bother you via e-mail. Hmm... Brian Bolland. It doesn't say much for me right now.. What kinda stuff have he done - I mean that can you tell any sample comics or something? Thanks.

Mum: He did some of the chapters in the original Judge Dredd comics and he also
did "The killing Joke" (a batman comic).
I don't have any samples here right now, but
i could bring some from home and try to scan a few pages. |

Hmm, I can't see the pic! =(

Oh, it's ok now... odd.
Very nice Mickey. Love her face, eyes and lips. Very sexy! =) Critique-wise, I'd say her left eye and nostril are too high compared to the right. In any case, very beautiful!

If I get on my knees and beg you to see that .psd file... do you think you'll give in?
Your style is really really clean and nice, I like it alot. Your style is honestly one of the most inerestring ones on this forum. Great work!
Keep it up

Micke: Ops! I came too late on line because I was drawing. I was practicing.. hmm.. I found this one on the net. Is this the same Brian Bolland that you told? Do you indentify this?

Great! Just fix her right hand and left eye like Frost said, and it will be perfect . Keep posting them and you will force me to start inking.
YourMum: I'm not micke but I'll answer that anyway: yes, that's a Brian Bolland's page from Camelot 3000 (great comic btw), try to check some of his Invisibles covers, they're impressive!

Frost:
Thanks for the advice I did'nt see the
eye and nose thing at all. I'm gonna fix that(along with the hand).
Ex:Thank you
yourmum:
Yes that's Bollands work. It's from Camelot
3000. Cheesy comic, but very nice drawings.
I really loves his inking.
burnout:I have a bad scanner and the indian ink made the paper bulge. Gonna take care of that too. Thanks for reminding me.
Sedone:Thanks i used picture as reference, but i've changed it alot.
Still working with your school stuff?
Poxen:I only have the drawing since i inked straight over the sketch, but it was more or less the same. Just penciled and without the dark areas. Here you go:

Dhab: thanks alot
I don't know if somebody noticed, but i just
did a few changes, but i saved over the first one so the changes is only visible in the first picture i posted. Pretty stupid, cause you cant compare anymore. What the hell..
Hope it looks better, though. I changed the eyes, nose, forehead, hair and the colours.
The screwed up hand is hidden behind the hair now so you can't see it anymore, i'm such a lazy bastard, hehe..

micke: the hair doesn't look too good now. I know the hand was wrong, but I think it would look better with it exposed. |

Hey micke, you continue to inspire me as always. Thats an awesome picture. It reminds me of the tall foreign exchange student from American Pie.
How big was the original sketch? Time taken to draw it?
Can we get a copy of the reference photo?
