I drew this completely by hand, then inked it with a RapidoLiner .25 micron pen.
My brother scanned it in, and I colorized it tonight.
The background is totally temporary. I suck at backgrounds I think.
Comments?

yeah tight lines man! I dig the expresion too. A lot of character. I agree with burnOut about the hand. Also the leather shiny material isn't coming across as shiny all that much. don't know if you wanted it this way but a whiter highlight might make it look better IMHO.

Nice job Scooby

Yeah, those are my complaints too.
I knew about his right hand. Too late, didnt REALLY notice until I examined it after I'd inked it. Doh!

As far as the leather, I just didnt want to over-do it, but I guess I under did it....

I'd maybe like somdbody who is a little better at coloring to take a crack at it.

(hint: LIQUID, RINALDO or anybody else....)

If you want to, just ask me and I'll get you a hi-rez copy of the lines, because I refined them a wee bit from the scan.

Nice style, ScoopyDoo! Very masculine, I think. I agree with Rinaldo and burnOut but those are only little offs on overall nice pic. Keep up your nice style.

Oh... and I forgot to ask you that what program do you use for b/w version when you have inked it? I mean do you use Adobe Streamline for instance? Or what? How do you proceed with that? Hopefully you got my idea...

This one is pretty nice scooby. I like it the most out of all your new pics. You need to work on your anatomy perspective a little. You are drawing everything realisticly, but things like your hands in this pic our misproportioned. I noticed that in your other pics also.

nice character ! very nice face and all. The hand holding the helmet looks a bit small and you'd probably not hold a helmet like that. Also, the backround is a bit boring. But, else from that, the character looks very good.

It's a nice design overall. Good work.

I think the right arm is the weakest part. It's too small and the hand is ambigous.

Also, I would recommend leaving out the background completely until you have something good to put in there. For one thing, it's not that well rendered. And since he's standing outside, you would expect to see darker values in the shadow areas.

But a nice drawing. The pose is strong and the character design is nice.

The only reason I put a background into it is because of all of the comments like "Put a background on it" or "there shouldnt be any posts with large area's of white on it!"

So, I just wanted to fill in that stuff. Like I said in the text before the images, the background is just PLACEHOLDER art. Not that I really think I'll ever paint a real background into it!
