I found sijun.com when it was mentioned on Quake2.com in fall of '97. Then, I found the forum from the link on the main page which appeared two years later. |

I had joined a graphics email list in the summer last year, and somebody posted dhabs url. I came, and my life has not been the same since. Seriously...
I think I was like the 10th person to register or something for the forums...so bow down!

Snake Grunger threatened to beat me if I didn't start visiting here.
Though I probably would have found the forum eventually, considering I visited both Dhab's and Spooge's sites regularly. |

I was looking for sites where I could see other people's artwork, and I found Gameart. I would've skipped it entirely, but the latest pic was some pencil scribble by an 11-year-old, and I thought it was kind of cool that not everyone had to be a professional artist to get their work posted. After a while, Dhab sent in some pics, and I went to his site. I didn't actually visit the forums for awhile though. |

A fellow artist friend offline & online (N-Pak) showed me Dhab's artwork one day at school. I almost died when i saw it and continued to visit the site. I eventually started posting..

at the risk of repeating myself (but that was in the musing forum so it doesn't counts, right ?)...
I became very interested in that Halo game last year. Wondered who made it -> Found the Bungie website -> fiddled around and saw some personal webpages from ppl who worked for Bungie -> found Craig's artwork there -> found a link to his page and then to here.
I wondered "Woah if this artists hangs around on this forum it sure must be quite interesting." I was afraid of elitism too but things are quite civil.. most of the time.

I found this site via LoonyGames.com when Dhabih's pic for the audio bit was on the cover.
I followed the link to see his gallery, I stayed for the people.

Hi Silber,
I found it on Mullins Site...I usually just look at his pics...for some reason I actually used my reading skills and ended up here on the boards.

I found it through Eyeball design. I think a few people here might recognize that site. |

I found sijun.com through posts at another forum ages ago, but only recently, when I started my pathetic attempts at drawing, did I actually look at the forum - because Heikki (affected) kept saying how great this forum is :-P

Dhabib's page was linked on www.bluesnews.com a couple of years ago, (one of the oldest Quake sites)..I book marked it, and didn't return until 6 months later, then I clicked on the Forum for the hell of it.
saw all sorts of people posting art that scared me !

I used to check Dhabih's page for updates fairly regularly. One day I looked and he'd put a forum up that week, so I joined to yak with folks and get the goss on the cool art sites (I'd been watching Mullins' site, like Dhabih's, since early '99). Then everyone began posting pics and talking about them...
the rest, as they say, is history. |

I've been visiting Sijun.com for a long time.
I remember the day well... i was doing a search, looking for sites related to digital imaging and stuff ... and i found sijun.com amongts many other sites. I found his site particularly interesting cos the guy is roughly the same age as i am, and his skill is SOOOooo much better. After many many months of looking thru his tutorial, i accidentally clicked on 'Discussion forum' .. and thats when i fell in love with this forum ... thank you and good nite. |

Long long ago, maybe 2-3 years? I was searching www.bluesnews.com and found Dhabih's art linked because of a Quake2 image. Ever since then I always visited to see his amazing art, then these forums popped up one day and here I am. Although I didn't register as early as I should have
