The one to the right looks very weird and messed up, but the others are pretty cool :-) I like the guy at the bottom especially...

Very rough stuff... have you ever done any landscaping? If not, I think you should try some and paint it.
Crituque: The thumb on the hand thing is too skinny towards the bottom, and too round towards the top. And that guy at the bottom is cool. Well.. his head anyway. |

Thanks for crits, men! I know that there are lots of mistakes on these sketches. These are about 1:1 sketches. These ones are like line drawings and made in ink. I'm interested in draw quick things with ink pen. The hands take about minute to draw, for instance.
ex: I have paint quite many landscapes at art school but not nowadays. Maybe I'll paint something but I'm bored to paint anything with mouse just now.

Hey errr...mum? (should I call you Juha? or is that buch of letters below your post not your name)
have you had a look at Micke's b+W stuff? he has such a nice line.
Try and avoid doing little staggered strokes. try getting the line right in one go. if you get it wrong then try again or start another pic. I've had to start using photocopy paper due to the amount or nice sketch book pages that were being eaten up by my sketches . The type of line you use will go a fair way towards the effect you get. try not to use lines that are locked down. you are using a lot of straight stiff lines, great for a lot of things but not for everything. loosen up your pen a bit, make the line squiggly for some things. Make sure that you are in control of the line. You can get a fair way towards texture and form if you use the right kind of line. different cloth will crease differently and will need different lines etc.
Looks like you have a good sense of what I'm talking about already .
Here's a few baddly scanned things of mine that are in the same vein as what you have posted, I have my own set of problems but I just thought I'd share them if you're interested some of the faces are from ref.

Hi Rinaldo!
At first, sure you can call me for Juha. Btw, it's my real name. That mum thing was just some funny case... heh.
Nice sketches from you. I like much. Hmm... It's very detestable thing that my scanner broke up about week ago and I haven't could post so many work I would like to. My friend have scanned these drawings. Umm.. yeah. Your words make sense, man. Usually I don't draw staggered strokes but I have tried to get experience in every possible section on art. So I have also made some off things. It seems like to help me do things better after mistakes. Yeah, I have looked at Micke's B/Ws. They're cool. Nowadays I try to scoop every useful tips and hints I get. Everyone have it's own problems, I think. Hard work is a way up. Thanks a lot, Rinaldo.
