Oh god, I just had a strenuous hair-tearing experience with IRQ conflicts between my soundcard/modem/video card. In the end, I had reformatted my HD a total of about 8 times (reinstalling OS's 16 times since I had a 2 partition HD), and now, everything works perfectly fine. The only prob is I am still using Win 98 for all my activity since my Motorola SM56 modem is not supported by Win 2k, thus I cannot use internet in Win 2k. I originally only wanted to se Win 98 for games only, but PhotoShop doesnt even work in in win2k, memory leak problems...oie..

What you talking about man? Photoshop runs 3 times faster on my PII350 in Win2K. 14 seconds to load up in win2k and something like 45 sec to 1 min in win98.
You probably have a driver problem.
And you need at least 128mb of mem to run win2k. So win2k might have denied you access from Photoshop so that the OS won't crash.

14 seconds? That's pretty slow, heh.. I have an amd k6-2 3dnow!, at 450mhz, with 168 megs of ram, and Photoshop loads at about 6 seconds or so. I think it greatly depends on the speed of your hard drive, as I have a 7600 rpm 10gigger. Oh, and I'm running Win98 SE for now. That or Photoshop oddly likes my K6-2.. not much does.

Boooh!

heheh Well, I could start it up that fast if I loaded the damn thing into RAM im sure, of course I'd need more RAM than I currently have!

Besides, I don't see many Crays with Klipsch Promedia Speakers!

Frost: Yeah.. iRQ problems only occured with jumper-based sound card and modems. But now, everything is PnP 'n stuff. Just thought I'd give a reason Falk would be trying to fixor his computer.

In the pic above wouldn't the right hand shoulder be in shadow cast by his head?

Just a little tip on lighting and shadow!
