Hullo,
I'm extremely new at digital/computer art and was seeking some help. I was wondering what applications are best to use (I know photoshop) and if I should get a Wacom (sp?). And lastly, can anyone give me some internet addys to good beginner sites (tutorials and the such...). That would be a big help! I have done some webpage coding before and I'm wanting to get to where I can make good art for my webpages and also just plain good digi art like what's on this site.
Yup,

Thats one thing people who aren't into digital art will never understand...the drawing tablet.
Especially nice ones like the Intuos at $300+!
I plan on getting the Intuos 6x8 and my friends are like "WTF!?! Your gonna pay how much again? All you do is draw with it! Can't you use your mouse?"
Anybody else here have friends react like that when you tell them how much your tablets cost?

I actually prefer painting with a mouse, but at 20 years old my wrists are already starting to hurt . . . I may end up downgrading to a tablet soon, if only to ensure my future Quake skills
