Not really thrilling, made it (quick) some week ago for a forum thread somewhere else but since i'm just bored right now...

...It was about working with a given clean photosourced skull. I added dirt, scratches, removed the chin, painted the theeth a bit longer ...and the obvious other stuff there.

amen

I love the teeth and the biotech shit but the left (his right) side of the skull looks a bit flat. Other than that it's cool. Typical strangefate quality.

Very nice. The only thing I'd have to crit is the flat feel the left side of the skull has. If you hadn't told me, I would've thought this was just made from flat textures. Pay attention to how the light moves around the form. Also, is it just me or does the small little circular object in the middle of the forehead resemble one of those aluminum wheels you find on pimped out Caddys? hehehehe. Anyways..nice job!

thx for the comments.

ABout the flatness, what can i say, the original photo skull was that way, didn't do much there.

His right eye is crappy yes, the idea was to have it simple but i guess it would look nicer without the red mess in there ...just 'natural' fashion.

SaltyDog, you're *totally* wrong, it's not from a caddy ...it was a different car

The glass on the eye was nicked from my web console (top left), the inner mechanic looking part of the eye is from a tech texture i did at work, i'll post it when the game comes out :/
Ach well, was a rush thing...

...Yeah, even i am so far happy with the site, the only thing starting to annoy me is the menu console :/

I really like the concept (first thing that sprung to mind - Terminator). My only comment would be on the aforemented flat issue but if it came from an original photograph, were the eyes slightly filled in or something?!

I really like the head in this. It just looks perfect. It's all perfect sept for the left (his right) cheek bone it just looks a bit flat there. just add a bit more shadow or hilight and tada it's perfect.
